The Reserve Bank of Australia lowered its cash rate by 25 points on Tuesday to 1.75 per cent – its lowest level ever.

The key factor in the decision would have been that the inflation outlook is now uncomfortably low in the years ahead. Last week’s consumer price index data, showed the lowest underlying first-quarter inflation since records began in 1982. This was clearly an important factor.  READ More:
